Dear Lord, we pray for our community. Please help all of us to be safe and for all those who are alone, may they be safe as well. Lord hear us.
Dear Lord, help our country and please make the people who have been hurt all get well soon. Lord hear us.
Dear Lord, we pray for our school. May we all have a lot of fun and stick up for others when they are getting bullied. Lord hear us.

The Seven Stars

On a pitch black night, there lived seven little girls whose names were Kruz, Lavinia, Makayla, Mischa, Olivia, Holly and Piper. Those seven girls loved to argue with each other.

Three of them liked to do lots of tricks. The kind of tricks they did were eating tricks, sitting tricks, tripping tricks and sleeping tricks. 

Early in the morning, all the girls settled down and fell asleep but one of them was still awake. 

Olivia looked from out of the window and saw three trees whispering to each other. 

"Hey!" said Olivia. "There is a man on our front lawn." 

That man was a wizard. The rest of the girls woke up and went outside to catch the man but, by the time they went outside, they got lifted up and went flying in the night and they turned into stars. The Wizard was the wizard of the seven girls fighting. If they fought a lot, there would be some star punishment. Less fighting and more staying away from each other. 

You will see them in early June at Matariki.

A Girls' Holiday

Lavinia and Kruz were best friends. They lived in the alley of a forest. Both of them loved to go down through the forest to have a picnic. Lavinia had two big sisters named Tyarne and Jahnyva. Kruz had a little sister named Rhys

On a trumbling sunny hot saturday Lavinia and Kruz went down into the forest and they wanted to have a gentle, silent walk. Both of them were looking at different sides and a bluey grey butterfly showed up. Lavinias butterfly looked like a greeny pink butterfly. So Lavinia and Kruz tried to chase after it and they lost each other. "Ahhh where is Kruz" asked Lavinia. They tried to find a way out of the forest but when they turned around it felt like their name was getting called out. When the noise stopped they found a way out and went to Kruz's house for a hot chocolate. "what a releif lets not go into that spookey forest again that creaped me out" said kruz.

Where is Harry?

Suddenly, Tom had an idea about his green, slippery, slimy snake. He gathered up some equipment from the classroom. He picked up some scissors, cords, glue, paper and the teacher's lunch. He glued some sheets of paper together and put some cords on the paper to tie the paper together. Tom put the teacher's ham sandwich in the middle. Harry slithered to it while all of the kids in the classroom climbed up on their chairs so the snake couldn't bite their toes off. 
Tom grabbed onto Harry and put him back in his bag. 
"What a relief! Never bring a snake to school," said Mrs Anderson.

Hi Jamling this is lavinia and i just want to say that i like your comments about you and John climbing on to the top of Mount Everest. My favourite part of all of that amazing writing you did is when you went around talking to people and making friends on the way to base camp. I think that those funny, impressive photos were awesome. Your so lucky because you got to climb up Mount Everest with John.

Mount Everest

Jonathon usher/ El Gregoe

"Wow! look at his wallet it's on fire "wow!"
We all signed "oh, wow!" as Jonathon opened his fingers to reveal a 10$ note Where a 5$ note had been just a couple of seconds earlier. 
The whole school was sitting in our school hall and waved our hands in the air saying, "Hi, Jonathon." We were going to watch two amazing magic shows. 
Jonathon's tricks were so clever and, whenever he talks, he made us giggle and laugh. 
A few minutes later, he asked for a volunteer so I reached my hand up and I was the one to be chosen. He asked me to hold a plastic bag so I held on to it while he got a bottle of ketchup and put it into the plastic bag. Jonathon gave me a wand and, by the time I touched it, it broke into pieces, so he gave me a whiteboard marker and I had to say, "Boom!" then the bottle disappeared. 

Our second show was El Gregoe. El Gregoe was welcoming himself to everyone and did a really clever trick. 

Pentecost

The church is people spreading the Good News about Jesus. 
The disciples were hiding because they were scared that they might die, like Jesus. 
The Holy Spirit came with fire and wind. The Holy Spirit gave them gifts. One of the gifts was courage to go out and spread the Good News about Jesus.
When the followers went out and started spreading the Good News, that was the beginning of the Church - Pentecost.

My mum and I

In the holidays, my sisters, Nan, my mum and I went to Waterworld.
At first, my mum and I went to go to my Nannys.

On the way there, we picked up some fish and chips. 

When we got there, my mum got five dollars chips. 
"Thank you, Mum." 

We got a drink of Sprite. There was no sauce so again. mum bought us some from the shop."Hi nan " my other sister was already here because she got picked up from home. They have already had lunch so mum and i had the hot chips all to ourselves.

My friend and i sauntered through the bird cage, trying to get a bird to go on our shoulders. “Wow” we went to the whio ducks and they were amazing . “ look at that big huge bird”. “ they’re huge !. Piper and i went to touch it. “ wow!” i went to the other fence . “ should we go now?” “ yeh! “ so my friends and i went.

He liked walking on the beach. He liked whittling his slingshot.
He hated school.
One day,
- didn't go to school
- went to the beach
- pirates came
- stole him and the other girls and boys
- s- One night, heard God talking to him - told him to go the a ship
- when he was on board, - big storm - ship grounded in France
- crew starving
- Patrick asked God for help
- God sent him pigs and an apple tree- ate pork dinner and apple sauce old him in Ireland to Milchu
- was a shepherd - looked after sheep and pigs (swine)
- started talked to God - trusted God and was happy

Patrick Mc alpern. His father is a romin soildier , staitioned in england and  the family was quiet rich so the family lived in comfort and style. He liked coming to the beach and liked whittling his slingshot. But he mostly hated school. One day it was  school day and he didn't go to school.So he went to the beach. he stayed there all day and climb trees he sauntered around picking up little tiny peaces of rocks but when he found one he suddenly froze. They were pirates captain and his crew hurried to shore and made a raid on the village.

Water world

Mum, my sisters and I went to water world. I saw highdrow slides. I thought it was only for big kids but it was for little kids as well. So I gave it a shot. It was awesome. The reason why I want to go there again is because the highdro slides were really fun there was a light one and a dark one the dark one was really cool so we had to go I quickly got dressed and I darted to the car and we went home.

World of Maths

It was hot when we were waiting on the hard wooden floor. Yay! We had the World of Maths. I was Group Six leader. In my group, were Caleb, Kaiden, Amelia, and Kaycee. Mrs Ibanez called out the numbers. I had to wait until she shouted out six. I also
got to see who owned the numbers. One was Kruz, Two was Paige, Four was Piper, Five was Makayla, Six was me, Seven was Holly, Eight was Jaxon, Nine was Olivia and Ten was Keira. Our first activity was 'Build the Bridge'. I went with my partners and I couldn't help because we were not allowed to help the younger people in my team. They had to figure it out by themselves. Snap, snap, snap. We tried three times and couldn't help so I told them what to do to make the bridge. It was really tricky, then I got the hang of it and we made a bridge ...... finally, yay! then we all went to the next one and it was really tricky. My favourite was 'Where's Katie?'

The Rocket

Splash! Splash! Splash! I heard as everyone else was falling in the water. Everyone cheered. They thought of saying, "Fall! Fall! Fall!" because everyone saw that this person was gingerly going across. Lots and lots of kids suddenly thought that she was really talented so we all said, "Go, Brylie! Go, Brylie! Go, Brylie! Yay, she made it to the end. 

It was my turn. I had the butterflies, so I gingerly went on the rocket. "Fall! Fall! Fall!" I was cracking up. It was as slippery as a water slide. I was almost at the deep end. I was freaking out because I almost fell on the side of the rocket. Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! I started running because I had got the hang of it, then I slipped and fell in the water. I climbed out and had another shot.

Right after the rocket, some of us got free time. Splash! Splash! Splash! The water kept on getting in my eye. It went bong, then I went under the water and gave it an eye wash. It felt much better. After that, I went to play with Olivia. There were these toys that could squeak. Olivia and I were playing tag with them. "You're in, Olivia," so I got the toy. Whenever you're the runner, you get the toy but, if you get tagged, you get the toy. We both kept on saying, "Squeaky."At the end of all of that, Holly, Michael and I collected up all of the toys. I looked under water with my goggles. Most of the toys were already in the bucket. It was really hard because we had to look all over the pool to find all the small pieces in the water.
We all just found out that there were no more because I looked all over the place and there was nothing so that was a waste of time.

2016 is the Year of the Monkey.

Swimming 2016

Splash, splash, splash! On one sunny hot day, we all had swimming practice.
Splish! Splosh! Spash! "Ooohh, it's cold," everyone was saying.
Everyone was full of excitement. Yay! I was so excited, my head was going to boom off like a rocket blasting off. The teachers were Ashley and Shenagh. They were the two people who taught us swimming skills. I was freezing like ice. Once I got under the water, I was completely fine. Ashley and Shenagh set out some rules. No going under the water when they are talking. They taught us to do rocket arms, gliding in the water and backstroke. Ashley took one half of the class and Shenagh took the other half. My friend and I went with Shenagh. At first, we all did rocket arms. We stretched our arms as high as we could and we looked like rockets. Shenagh and Ashley called out name by name by name. Splash! Splash! Splash! Everyone kicked as hard as they could to the other side of the pool, then we all glided through the bright blue water. I pushed the wall like a rocket taking off.
